How to keep your windows clean this summer

The warm weather has hit, and now we’re suddenly regretful that we cancelled the window cleaner back in drizzly November.

Yes, we’re with you. Don’t worry though, all is not lost. Enter the window vaccuum.

That’s right, vacuums are no longer just a posh word for our beloved Henry hoover.

They can also help to keep our windows shiny and sleek so all those fingerprints and mucky stains can be gone.

What is a window vacuum?

A window vacuum is a motorised suction wiper that vacuums up the condensation or cleaning solution on your windows.

The appliance is handheld and cordless. It usually comes with rechargeable batteries and a removeable tank attached that collects any excess water.

It’s a small, compact cleaning tool that is useful for removing dirt, dust and water from windows, mirrors, shower doors, tiles and even car windows – making it easier to achieve a streak-free finish on glass surfaces.

How do window vacuums work?

To use a window vacuum you must first spray the window with a cleaning solution and spread it with the microfiber cloth attachment.

Next you use the window vacuum to remove any excess water, therefore leaving the window clean and dry.

The window vacuum then sucks water into a collection cup that you can unclip to empty as and when you need to.

Are window vacuums worth it?

If you want to have shiny, clean windows for the summer then absolutely.

They are also a great multi-purpose tool as you can use to improve bathroom cleaning, for shower screens, mirrors and tiles. As well as using your window vacuum for other mirrors and tiles around the house.

They are also fairly priced and last a long time when looked after, so a worthy investment for your cleaning arsenal.
