Early bird offers, money-off vouchers and free wine – there are plenty of reasons to scope out at the best supermarket deals, as well as the deadlines you’ll need to order festive food by.

You might think it’s too early to even consider what’s for Christmas dinner, but with delivery slots already available for booking and certain supermarkets offering special earlybird deals if you shop with them, now’s the time to prep your festive menu and get your order in.

Many of these supermarkets only ask for a deposit on your Christmas feast, which means it’s easy to work out your budget for December well ahead of time. Take a look at which supermarkets have special deals and when you need to make your order by below.

Sainsbury’s

To try and tempt you to pick up your turkey from Sainsbury’s this year, the supermarket has a special offer if you place your order before 2nd December. Spend over £80 on your festive food shop to collect on the 22nd, 23rd or 24th, and you’ll also receive a £5 voucher to spend at Argos – perfect for putting towards a last minute Christmas gift. If you’re one of the first 2,000 customers to spend over £80, you’ll also receive a free Cocoa et Co chocolate pug that’ll make for a handy little stocking filler. Waitrose

Waitrose is already taking delivery slot bookings for its Christmas food, so if you’re keen to take the stress out of those last few festive days, then now’s a great time to order. You’ll also receive free delivery if you spend over £40. If you’re happy to pick up from a store, you’ll need to order by 15th December. Shop the Waitrose Christmas food range.

Shopping at Tesco for your festive food order? You’ll have to wait patiently until 30th November when the Christmas range is ready to order. Delivery slots can fill up quickly, and you can’t order without having first booked a slot between the 20th and 24th, so keep this in mind. Morrisons

Morrisons Christmas food range is online to order now. Simply fill you basket, pick a time on the 22nd, 23rd or 24th December to pick up your order and pay a deposit – the rest is due on collection. You’ll need to place your order by the 14th December. Shop the Morrison’s Christmas range here.
