Pinterest reveals interior trend predictions for 2025

Pinterest is everyone’s guide to what’s hot. Whether you’re mixing up your fashion, make-up, cooking, and for us – our homes and gardens.

So, when the Pinterest trend predictions are announced for the year, we all sit up and take notice.

With 522 million active users every month and over 80% of their forecasted trends becoming a reality in recent years, Pinterest knows where it’s at.

2025 is set to be huge for interiors, with everything from cherry bedrooms and unREAL tablescapes to castlecore, chaos gardening and dolls house inspired aesthetics. It’s going to be an exciting year!

Let us guide you through this year’s Pinterest predictions…

1. Cherry-coded

Dark, sweet and delicious, cherry will be not only all over interiors but fashion, make-up, menus and mood boards this year.

Searches for cherry bedroom are up 100% on the previous year, which isn’t a complete surprise as we’ve seen darker colours and complementing colours throughout 2024.

Whether you use it in your bedspread, wall colours, accessories or furnishings, bigger is definitely better in 2025.

2. Surreal Soirees

Our entertaining is set to up its game in 2025 as things get UNREAL.

Think curvy candlesticks, fantastical flowers and gravity-defying centrepieces.

This year, people will infuse their tablescapes and décor with modern surrealism.

Believe it or not, it’s Gen X and Boomers driving this keeping-it-unreal party trend.

Searches for modern surrealism are up 70% year on year, whilst ‘dinner party tablescapes’ is up by 55%, and specifically ‘strawberry centrepiece ideas’ is up by 50%.

We’re definitely dining in style this year, and Good Homes will definitely be bringing the inspiration for your upcoming events.

3. Castlecore

Our home décor inspiration is going up a level this year, as Gen Z and the Millennials will begin to take their inspiration from ancient castles.

Searches for medieval core are up 110% year on year, whilst searches for castle house plans are up 45%.

We can’t wait to ensure our interiors reflect our inner princess, just please, with the modern amenities of central heating, working plumbing, and no dragons to fight off, please!

4. Dolled up

In 2025, people will be inspired to look at their lives from their very own dolls house according to Pinterest.

Searches for cutecore room ideas are up by 40%, and we think this could blend beautifully in the home with the increase in popularity of the aforementioned castlecore trend.

Think princess themed bedrooms, foliage, fairy lights and cosy canopes.

These don’t have to stay in the kids’ rooms – you deserve some magic in other parts of your home, too.

5. Eco living aesthetic

We haven’t forgotten the trend in recent years towards more sustainable interiors, with eco living set to still be popular in 2025.

It’s going one step further though, with searches for chaos gardening up by a whopping 300%, and searches for self sufficient gardens and community spaces up 55% and 40% respectively.

This suggests gardening is going to be huge this year, whether it’s working with neighbourhoods on allotments, or making more of our own gardens in a less organised way.

Think experimenting with growing flowers, fruit and vegetables, and seeing what works best for you.
