Inspired by typography, colour, print and vintage pieces, we talk interior design with celebrated influencer, Blogger at The Edited and home interiors guru Erica Davies.

Her new collection, launching 12th September and exclusive to QVC UK, encompasses on-trend homeware and soft furnishings that promise to add a sense of fun to your home.

Rich and opulent, there is nothing like a jewel tone to achieve a sense of luxury in your home. With them being some of the most powerful hues on the spectrum, they can be tricky to incorporate into your interiors – here are Erica’s tips for cleverly introducing these bold and beautiful colours whatever your personal style.

Tip 1: A little goes a long way

A little goes a long way – you don’t need to dive in at the deep end with a bold wall or sofa, smaller pieces of décor and soft furnishings in striking jewel tones can be just as effective – these floral foil baskets are perfect for introducing a nod to the trend into your home.

Tip 2: Pair bold with bold

For a bolder statement don’t be afraid of pairing jewel tones together. Match a jade sofa with the floral and leopard cushions in her collection or hang the LOVE lights on a rich royal blue accent wall for a punchy pairing.

Tip 3: Cool it with contrast

If you’re looking to ease into the trend, Erica suggests pairing jewel tones with neutral colours to ensure that the colour isn’t too overpowering.

Her floral foil rug has a beautiful deep azure palm print which would make the perfect statement in a neutral room.

Tip 4: All that glitters is gold

It’s no secret that rich hues and metallics are a match made in heaven.

Place the Monstera Leaf mirror on an emerald green wall to create a luxurious feel to the room.

Erica says:

“Many of us have distinct personal styles when it comes to fashion, but aren’t so sure when it comes to our homes. I’m a firm believer that, what works in your closet can work in your home. So, before you step into an interiors store, why not have a look through your wardrobe for inspiration?”

Tip 5: Walk on the Wildside

Animal print was a huge fashion trend last season which shows no signs of stopping for AW19, and this bold and beautiful print is great for the home too.

If you’re feeling wild, go for Erica’s foot stool, but you can also nod to the trend with some animal print baubles.

Tip 6: Switch Reverse it!

Who doesn’t love a reversible piece of clothing? Two looks for the price of one – you can’t go wrong.

The accent pillows are a really easy way to make a statement with both sides offering eye-catching bold prints to brighten up any room.

Tip 7: Combine function with style

Practical clothing doesn’t have to always be boring – a classic trench coat in an unexpected bright colour livens up any outfit.

Erica loves the bright leopard stacking boxes – they’re so useful for storage and don’t have to be hidden away in a cupboard.

Tip 8: Make a Statement

You can achieve this look in your home with neon lighting or individual light up letters like her LOVE sign.
