The colour Tranquil Dawn was selected by an expert panel of colour designers, trend forecasters, design specialists, architects and editors from around the world.

Its four supporting trend palettes capture the essence of being human and show how the soft, calm hue can be used to create spaces that enhance what we need and want in the year ahead: to seek meaning, to care, to play, and to encourage creativity.

“A new decade heralds a new dawn and the hazy pale green tones of Tranquil Dawn™ are calming and comforting just when we need it most in our lives. When paired with neutral pastels and rich jewels it becomes incredibly powerful at creating spaces that encourage making better human connections.” says Creative Director, Dulux UK, Marianne Shillingford.

We take a look at some of the ways you can incorporate this colour into your home:

Part of Neptune’s classically English Chichester collection, this side table combines a timeless silhouette with understated carved details, and a mix of painted and oak surfaces. It also comes in three versatile sizes.

Made from Tulipwood, the durable hardwood has a fine, almost knot-free grain, creating a smooth surface for painting. This, combined with oak, which contains knots and natural colour variations, adds instant character to wherever you choose to place it in the home.

For durability, the tabletop is protected with an IsoGuard derived from linseed but doesn’t mask the natural beauty of the timber.
