Bespoke wardrobes are definitely an investment, but not only are they a stylish storage option, but they will add value to your home, too.

Discover these built-in wardrobe designs we’ve double-tapped on Instagram that will help inspire your own bedroom renovation.

Think pink

Even the smallest alcove can be made into a bespoke wardrobe – just look at @thelondonhomefix‘s nifty little space as a case in point.

Shaker-style doors painted in blush pink with gold handles makes for a super on-trend built-in wardrobe design.

Streamline design

The vertical lines of @freshlypressedhome wardrobes elongate the space and make the room appear taller. Opting for a pure white paint colour will keep your bedroom feeling light and bright and is the perfect complementary colour to any other shade you choose to incorporate into your bedroom scheme.

A reflective illusion

Choosing built-in wardrobes with a mirrored front is a popular choice and for good reason! It creates the clever illusion of a bigger room by reflecting the light around your bedroom. It also disguises the fact that there are wardrobes behind them and acts as a perfect dressing room area. Be inspired by @chedworthhome and choose built in sliding doors but save money by putting prefabricated wardrobe designs behind them.

We have shutters! They took their bludddy time but so happy they are finally installed. My trusty paper blind pals left us a memento by ripping the paint off the architrave when we pulled them down. Let’s add that to the ever increasing snag list . If you are thinking about getting shutters please note – they are NOT a total blackout. Whoever says they are is lying. It’s fine for us because we haven’t had a lie in for two years ?? but I just think honesty is the best policy ? . You can design your built-in wardrobes so they fit in perfectly with the aesthetic of the rest of your home. If you live in an older property with tonnes of character you may consider opting for cottage-style doors, just like Chloe has from @chilvers_terrace.
