Vote for your favourite home office at Grand Designs Live
Grand Designs Live, which returns to London for the first time since 2019 this spring, has launched a home office design competition and is inviting you to choose the winner!
As one of the top homes and interiors events of the year, it’s an unmissable occasion for home decor and renovation enthusiasts.
This year, the event is hosting the Working from Home Project, sponsored by Crown Paints, where interior designers compete to come up with ways to transform a small home office into a stylish multi-functional WFH environment.
You can see the finalists’ designs brought to life at Grand Designs Live London, running from 30 April-8 May 2022, but Good Homes is offering a sneak peek of the designs before the show opens! Check out the four home office design competition finalists below…
1. Monica Gounaropoulos, Spiti & Soul Interior Design
This multifunctional home office is a usable space which can be enjoyed to the full once the working day is finished. Offering discrete solutions to conceal work items, this separates work from home life, something many have struggled to do. The colour palette is blue and orange to stimulate productivity and lift your mood.
Monica is a KLC School of Design student in Residential Interior Design and prides herself in her love of light, colours, textures and finishes. She comes from a strong business background after more than 15 years in Healthcare PR.

2. Hannah Challis, Playhaus Interiors
Promising to integrate function and fun into the home office space, messy real life is at the heart of Hannah’s design. Her design will ensure your working space is no longer a forgotten element, but the beating heart of the home.
Hannah founded Playhaus Interiors in 2018 after coming into the industry later in life. As a mum of young children she appreciates how interior design can change how you make the most of the space. Her ultimate goal is to ensure clients are happy, calm and relaxed in their homes with a pop of fun.

Combining a home office, hobby room, cocktail bar, games room, relaxation space and family room, this Hobby Office is a real magic space. Plants and exciting design features, a unique meeting backdrop and changeable lighting all mean this room is adaptable.
Helen is the designer and director of The Design Hub in Leicestershire also works on another business Concept & Completion. Christopher is a director of The Design Hub alongside being a professional paint sprayer and decorator, while running his own business, Read Design.
The couple use their skills day to day to change residential and commercial spaces. From a client’s lounge to a complete pub, hotel or garden overhaul. Their creative skills have combined to produce unique spaces with an eye for quality and style, along with a complete understanding of clients wishes and needs to exceed expectations.

4. Danielle Reales, Danii Reales Interiors
Without colleagues to chat to and fill the void, many people find working from home stale and lacking. Danielle’s space aims to create an attractive and fun workspace with a touch of tranquility, ideal for those wanting some tranquility during a solo mid-morning coffee break. The key elements of this home office are comfort, space and uplifting humour. The hidden bed means that guests are welcome and hopefully the amusing art will bring a smile to their face, too!
Danielle is currently studying interior design at KLC School of Design, London. Since starting out, her kitchen design has been featured in KBB magazine and on the Wren Kitchens website.
