With the Ideal Home Show fast approaching, we take a look at the plans for this year’s Good Homes roomsets.

Showcasing the latest looks for interiors, clever decorating ideas and the on-trend colours of the season, this year you can experience our Good Homes roomsets at the Ideal Home Show like you’ve never seen them before.

Taking place between the 27th March and 13th April 2020 at Olympia London, our style team has worked closely with Bearded Kitten, the creators of our groundbreaking revolving roomsets, to offer a brand-new and interactive experience.

Doubling as the interiors stage, the roomsets will rotate to display each trend: a Wellness bathroom, Made in Britain living room and Japandi multi-functional space.

Read on to learn a bit more about these trends and the fabulous sponsors we’ll be working with this year to bring our roomsets to life.

Made in Britain

Every brand in this contemporary-styled room has its roots in the UK. This scheme takes a classic British look and brings it up to date with a modern twist to suit today’s living.

Image: Modern wall patterns will be created using Crown Paints in Teal and Powdered Clay 

We have chosen the latest colour palette from Crown Paints, which is manufactured here in the UK, to create statement walls, with these shades then mirrored in the furniture, accessories and wallpaper.

Beautiful lighting will be provided across the roomsets from British-founded brand Dowsing & Reynolds. This striking bubble chandelier is a real showstopper with its frosted glass orbs and suspended, cloud-like design.

The Made in Britain roomset will champion luxury and craftsmanship. Thomas Sanderson will be providing the curtains for the beautifully arched windows, which is sure to create a design statement.

Wellness

This stunning bathroom scheme offers a relaxing experience to encourage health and mindfulness.

From calming colours, soothing sounds to looking at how aromatherapy scents can change your mood with Acqua di Bolgheri‘s home fragrances, this spa-like space also includes the latest bath and shower systems, plus sustainable, eco-friendly products.

At the heart of the scheme is a botanical shower designed to invigorate your mornings and a beautiful freestanding bath from Albion Bath Company for leisurely and relaxing bathing.

Biophilic design – how natural materials can help to improve our sense of wellness in living spaces – is a buzzword for 2020, and our bathroom scheme will look at how you can adopt a natural look at home. From stone and wood-effect wall tiles from Tile Giant to an abundance of houseplants that enhance air quality,

Japandi

With more people working from home and multi-generational living on the rise, our rooms need to provide more than just one function. The new Japandi trend is the perfect aesthetic to style this scheme, combining rustic Scandi elements with a pared-back Japanese design to create clever storage solutions, a compact home office, and a unique elevated bedroom area that can be converted into a cosy den for kids.

Amtico’s luxury vinyl flooring will be used throughout the roomsets, and it has something special to offer our multi-functional roomset. Realistic wood grains in a range of muted colours perfectly captures the essence of the Japandi trend, but with the durable, hardwearing nature of luxury vinyl tiles that outperforms both engineered wood and laminate flooring.

Examining how functional spaces and appliances can be incorporated into a compact living space, the Japandi roomset will incorporate a washing machine, with a Kinetico water softener fitted behind to highlight the benefits it offers across the home.
