Deco Tayberry has been revealed as Original Style’s tile of the year 2020, in partnership with Jordan Cluroe and Russell Whitehead of 2LG studio.
The pair commented on the project and said ‘as interior designers, we approach our projects with one eye on the past and the other on the future. Deco Tayberry is a contemporary twist on classic tiling, with a square format and a beautiful arch motif.’

Designed in-house at Original Style’s factory in Devon, each tile is hand crafted by skilled craftsmen using the age-old screen printing method, which means no two tiles are the same, which we think adds to the charm.
With colourful interiors becoming more and more popular and homeowners being more willing to take risks, particularly with smaller spaces of the home – this stunning tile design is perfect for Art Deco lovers and those that want to add personality to their walls.

Our top styling tips…
Pair with a matte texture
The glossy texture of the Deco Tayberry tile is a perfect match for contrasting matte textures. Opt for a matte or satin finish paint that will look striking against the shine of the tile. If your bathroom budget can stretch to a matte finish basin, we’d recommend this too.
Complement with pink tones
Create a scheme that incorporates multiple tones of the same colour. The berry shade of these tiles looks amazing pared with blush pinks and darker maroon tones. This is definitely a modern way of styling these tiles.
Tile an alcove to make a statement
If you feel that tiling a whole wall with patterned tiles is overkill, be inspired by 2LG and tile an alcove for a striking feature. This arch design mimics the arch detailing on the tile and looks bang on trend.
The Deco Tayberry tile is priced at £199.95 per sqm or £3.38 per tile. Follow this link to find your nearest retailer.
