Running from 24-28 November 2021, Ideal Home Show Christmas has more than 400 exhibitors showcasing seasonal essentials across four dedicated sections: Home, Gifts, Decorations and Pets.

The Christmas Home section, sponsored by Hydropool, is a must-visit. Full of seasonal interiors inspiration, it’s the perfect place for Christmas decor inspiration. Don’t miss the Good Homes festive roomsets, where you’ll find the top colour trends and must-have decorations explored across four key trends – Winter Solstice, Opal Blush, Luxe Vibe and Relaxed Japandi.

Another highlights is the Christmas Theatre, where some of the nation’s top experts will host live Q&As and lead Christmas workshops on everything from festive tablescaping to wreath making, gift wrapping and creating origami gift tags.

1. Creative Christmas gifts with Lynne Lambourne

Thurs 25 Nov at 2.30pm & 6.30pm
Sat 27 Nov at 11.30am & 2.30pm

Upcycler Lynne Lambourne, who appeared on the first series of BBC2’s Great Interior Design Challenge, demonstrates how to make creative Christmas gift ideas that won’t break the bank, including a personalised picture frame and a Christmas terrarium.

Thanks to her keen eye for design and styling, Lynne’s home is regularly featured on film and TV projects, including George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces: Floating Homes and Gok Wan’s Fill Your House For Free.

2. Festive wreath making with Lynn Sleet

Weds 24 Nov at 12.30pm & 3.30pm

Lynn Sleet, Master Florist and founder of Blooming Useful Floral Art & Design, demonstartes how to spruce up the front door or mantelpiece with a homemade festive wreath using the latest floral design techniques.

Lynn, who has been running her own business for the past 11 years, has a passion for flowers and floral design, creating arrangements for everything from weddings to funerals and hand-tied bouquets for the home.

3. Dress your Christmas dinner table with Interior Styling by Design

Sat 27 Nov at 3.30pm & 6.30pm

Decorating the Christmas tree is the easy bit, the real art of Christmas decor is styling your dining table. Create a feast for the eyes with the help of property renovators Luke and Heather, aka Interior Styling by Design.

The husband and wife duo have a passion for interior design and property makeovers. Having renovated six properties in the past 10 years, they have developed the skills required to do most of the work themselves, saving valuable time and money.

4. Gift wrap like a pro with Tina Nandha

Professional gift wrapper Tina Nandha, founder of Wrap it By Tina, shows you how to wrap like a pro by adding personal touches with beautiful wrapping paper, ribbons and other carefully curated embellishments.

Every gift that leaves her studio is sumptuously packaged and fit for royalty and she loves to test the boundaries of wrapping – she has even attempting it blindfolded and gift-wrapped a BMW! Tina also set up The Wrap it Studio to grow a community of likeminded crafters who can learn from and support each other.

5. Kirigami decorations with Gude Hudson-Gool

Thurs 25 Nov at 4.30pm

Kirigami is a variation of origami, where the paper is cut as well as folded to create 3D-designs. Why buy expensive Christmas decorations when you can make your own? Not only is it cheaper, if you choose your materials carefully, it’s also more eco-friendly.

Gude Hudson-Gool, founder of online stationery boutique, The Paperdashery, puts your kirigami skills to the test in this Christmas tree table decorations workshop. Gude is also running an origami Santa gift-tag workshop at 1.30pm on the same day.

6. Christmas tablescaping with John Lewis

Tablescaping has grown into a huge trend over the last few years, and what better time to showcase your skills than Christmas? When it comes to laying the table for Christmas dinner, it’s worth matching your efforts in the kitchen with a beautiful tablescape.

A John Lewis Home Stylist teaches the art of Christmas tablescaping in this one-off workshop. With the right skills, you’ll see that it doesn’t have to be expensive — you just need to buy a few key items to make your dinner table look really exciting.
