We took 5 minutes to chat with the founders of luxury interiors brand Poodle & Blonde, Kierra Campbell and Whinnie Williams, about the journey of their unique brand and what they’ve got coming up in the pipeline.

How did you ladies come together as a collective to kickstart Poodle & Blonde?

Kierra: “Initially we met on Instagram! Whinnie had been designing her own home and decided she wanted to turn her passion it into a brand. But she didn’t know how to go about it, I was working as a freelance interior consultant with bigger plans to launch my own brand, we met and hit it off.”

How would you summarise Poodle & Blonde as a brand in 3 words?

Whinnie: “We don’t have three words as we are always evolving, but we have a saying which we always consider when designing which is ‘live like you’re in a movie.’ Poodle & Blonde designs are all about creating dreamy interiors.”

Whinnie, we love your pink bathroom! What was the inspiration and could you tell us a bit about why you chose the design that you did?

W: “My inspiration for the bathroom was a mix between a Margate hotel that I visited called the ‘Walpole Hotel’ and a Gucci campaign I saw – I sort of merged the two ideas. I love Art Deco too.”

Could you both tell us a bit about your favourite room in your own homes and why?

K: “My lounge is the social hub of the home so it’s always been the best looking room with lots of artwork that links back to back my heritage, vintage furniture mixed with Poodle & Blonde cushions and as many plants as I can fit in.”

W: “My favourite room is my shell themed bedroom, I’ve always collected shells and I created a shell fireplace. I recently found a 70s shell bed and so I’m living my mermaid dream!”

Do you have any pop-up stores in the pipeline?

“We’ve got a couple of events coming up, in line with some new product and collections we’re launching so keep your eyes peeled for some really exciting parties and news!”

What’s next for Poodle & Blonde?

“We just recently opened our new London studio, and we’re currently working on some new designs ready to drop soon along with a brand new children’s collection which we can’t wait to show you!”

Any future collaborations in the pipeline?

“We have some really exciting things bubbling at the moment, all top secret but not for much longer.”
