Discover Lick & Heinz’ colour collaboration: ketchup red

Revolutionising the paint world B-corp home decor company Lick has been shaking things up since 2019, with their team of online colour consultants, peel and stick swatches and focus on sustainability. All of their pigment-rich paint is produced in the UK, and is water-based and odour-free, with a low VOC (volatile organic compounds), meaning that fewer fumes and harmful chemicals that are omitted into the air.

With a 125 carefully curated colours in their collection, they’ve got a new one to add to their set with a limited edition collaboration with Heinz. Yes, sauce lovers can now paint their walls with Red HTK 57, more specifically: Heinz tomato ketchup red. Lick & Heinz have teamed up to meticulously create a one-of-a-kind shade that is the iconic shade of Heinz tomato ketchup when it dries.

Tash Bradley, Director of Interior Design and Colour Psychologist at Lick says that “red has the longest wavelength of all colours in the spectrum. We associate the colour with the ripeness or sweetness of natural foods, which can subconsciously trigger our appetites, as well as a desire to chat, making it a firm favourite for social spaces such as kitchens and dining rooms, the very places you’d find a Heinz ketchup bottle! Red HTK 57 is such an energising and eye-catching colour, with a richness and depth that gives it a timeless appeal in the home”.
