Doorscaping: How to style your front door for autumn

Gone are the days where a Christmas wreath was the beginning and end of door decor! Seasonal styling for our doors – known as doorscaping – has become a huge trend in recent years, with Instagram playing a huge part in the trend – the #doorsofinstagram hashtag has now surpassed one million posts as people share their top styling tips for instant kerb appeal.

Here, Blooming Artificial shares some easy and affordable ideas for your own autumn door decorations…

Autumnal topiary

Switch your wilting summer blooms for an elegant artificial plant! Made to withstand the difficult British weather, they’ll last throughout the seasons to keep your doorstep looking great for years. There are plenty of handy artificial shrubs to choose from, so you can have some green boosts to lift your spirits during the colder mornings.

Stick with the season

While the most obvious suggestion for seasonal door decor is crafting your own DIY wreath, there are plenty of ways you can ramp up that kerb appeal. From show-stopping doorscaping designed by the likes of Zoe Sugg or Stacey Solomon, to simple touches such as garlands, fairy lights and a few outdoor pumpkins.

Trend tracker

Keeping up with the latest trends requires a little more work, but will definitely enhance your door decoration. Consider a fresh coat of paint, or replacing the old door knocker with something more modern, like a lion, dragonfly or bumblebee as that will really show off your personality. Colour-wise, consider the Dulux colour of the year for 2022 for a bright, hopeful hue that will fit in brilliantly with every season.
