We’re all trying to do our part by swapping out our household items for more sustainable options. When it comes to the bedroom, it can sometimes be trickier to be more eco-friendly; however, now the colder weather is approaching it might be time to rethink our duvet choices.

John Lewis & Partners has launched its first vegan, biodegradable duvet as part of their Natural Collection. The botanic duvet is made from Tencel Lycocell – a natural material derived from sustainable wood sources. Tencel Lyocell is naturally breathable, beautifully soft and gentle on the skin.

Handcrafted in Devon, the botanic duvet is approved by The Vegan Society available in both 2.5 and 4.5 tog, coming in sizes single, double, king and super king. Maybe not the best option for those that lovely a big, snuggly duvet for wintertime, but for those of you that get warm in bed despite the colder weather, this duvet will be up your street.

If you want to double up on the warmth factor, John Lewis & Partners has also just launched a stress relieving weighted blanket.

Seriously thinking about switching up your duvet now it’s getting colder? Take a look at our winter duvet guide.
