Stylish dog beds and cat beds for pampered pets

Acquired a new four-legged friend during lockdown? You’re not alone. It turns out that us Brits have gone barking mad for moggies and doggies and we’re now on the hunt for stylish place for them to snooze.

The increase in Google searches for pet beds, demonstrated in data compiled by Silentnight Pet Beds, is attributed to a spike in new pet ownership in the last 12 months. Some 3.2 million British households have welcomed a new pet since March 2020 and the bed brand itself has seen a 120% sales increase in dog beds during the same period.

1. Rattan pet house

Settle Beds have re-imagined the pet bed, launching a collection of sustainable and stylish dog beds in May 2021. Made in the UK from recycled plastic waste, this brand caters for the eco-conscious pet owner that also values good design. We think this Terrazzo bed barks up the right tree (£124).

5. Country casual dog bed

If your dog reckons he’s lord of the manor, then this country casual-style pet bed is a top choice. Available in black and white, the sleek, stylish oak-panelled Lord Lou Bernard Pet Sofa from Amara (£260) will keep your pooch in the style to which he’s become accustomed. Check out their rattan Nordal Iriri dog bed (£240), too.

6. Scandi-chic dog bed

Have you ever seen a pet bed more inspired by Scandinavian style? The Kyali design from made.com is super sleek and simple with a cosy grey cushion for your pet to cuddle up in (was £169, now £109).

7. Velvet dog bed

For the ultimate pampered pooch, check out the Laboni Vogue velvet dog bed from Cuckooland (£750). It’s available in multiple colourways to suit your home and the velvet cover is removeable so you can keep the doggy smells at bay.

8. Dalmatian pet bed

9. French Louis-style pet bed
