As we relax in to Summer we start to want our homes to reflect the season’s chilled out, laid-back vibes. Helen shows us how to create cool, calm havens to escape the heat, interiors that bring back memories of sun-drenched isles and easy ways to bring bright, vibrant colours into your home. Most importantly, these trends won’t break the bank and will leave you plenty of time for making the most of the sunshine.

Trend 1: Cool, calm, bohemian chic

As we move in to the warmer months we start to desire light, airy spaces and more seamless transition between the outside and inside. With the Ibiza Collection (pictured), inspired by the bohemian side of the Balearic isle, we wanted to prove that neutral didn’t have to mean boring. By using contrasting textures, fringing and tassels you can add depth and interest, whilst the use of natural materials and statement planters help bring the outside in.

Trend 2: Minerals, Marble and Terrazzo

Building the trend for natural materials one simple way to start to add colour is to use palettes inspired by the outstanding colours and patterns in geology. Our Quartz Collection (pictured) includes terrazzo and marble effects printed on to soft homewares, giving a playful take on the ‘outside in’ trend. Using stone and terrazzo with metal accents the collection offers cool, contemporary lighting solutions with a hint of glamour.

Trend 3: Bold, Bright Summer Colours

Although people often feel afraid of adding bright colours into their home, summer is the perfect time to bring these bold colours inside. One easy way to start is by incorporating statement pieces and soft furnishings, such as cushions, throws and wall art. If you are feeling a little braver, colour blocking walls can add real drama and freshen up plainer pieces. To help inspire and build confidence in using stand-out colours we’ve curated colour led trends, including Mauve and the Yellow and Grey trend featured.
