When Mrs Shepherd bought her large Georgian house, she knew all of its timber windows would need replacing. With over 25 windows, a mixture of sash windows and casements, she wanted an expert she could trust. Based on a recommendation, she called in sash window repair specialists, Ventrolla.

Completing the works in three phases, Ventrolla completely overhauled the windows whilst installing their unique patented Sash Removal System (SRS), which aids the removal of the sashes for future maintenance, and prevents broken cords and lost weights in the sash box.

Repairs were made to the existing rotten sills that had deteriorated with the weather, whilst the old moving sashes were replaced with new slim double-glazed versions for improved efficiency. A few of the timber casement windows were made with detailed etched patterned glass, a lovely yet practical detail, providing privacy.

Finally, a draught-proofing system was fitted in and around the gaps in each window, stopping the usual offenders – rattles, leaks, heat loss and draughts.

She added: “Thank you Ventrolla, I would recommend you unreservedly.”

Mrs Shepherd now rents out part of her beautiful property on Airbnb, allowing plenty of holiday-goers to enjoy the surroundings of picturesque Holmfirth and her cosy Georgian property with its Ventrolla renovated windows!
