Bouclé is a textile you might have noticed creeping onto your favourite interiors Instagrammers’ feed at the moment. Usually made from wool, it’s perfect for bringing texture to your interior design scheme.
Usually, you’ll find this in a beautiful neutral off-white, but bouclé can be found in dyed colours too.
If you’d love to bring this look into your home, but aren’t sure how to, take a look at some of the key ways to introduce this into your space.
The statement armchair
An easy way to bring the bouclé trend to your living space in a significant way is through an armchair. More designs are coming to market as this trend’s popularity grows, but right now, we’re loving this Bonnie armchair from Made in particular.
The budget bench
Keep your wits about you when searching online for bouclé style design for your home, as they’re not always labelled as such. Dunelm’s purse-friendly take on the trend is called ‘Teddy’ and includes this budget bench, as well as armchairs and storage benches coming later in the year.
The re-upholstery rewards
Even the most uninspiring of armchairs can be transformed with some new bouclé upholstery. Look out for a good shape when scoping out chairs with re-upholstery potential and call in the professionals to make it happen. Anna from @ourhouseatnumber_30 did this to transform a beaten up leather tub chair into this beautiful statement piece for her home.
