1. Maximise multifunctional spaces

Often, there’s a room in your home you might use for many purposes, whether it’s relaxing, dining, working from home or working out.

A good way to make the décor in these rooms work is by having different types of lighting for the room’s different purposes.

Downlights or spotlights are a good space saving option for functional rooms.

Pair with a floor lamp or table lamp to add style and an option for relaxing in the space, layering your lighting is key.

2. Elevate small spaces

Small spaces in the home can often be improved with cleverly placed ambient lighting, for a cosy and welcoming home.

Rechargeable table lamps are a stylish and functional solution to brighten small spaces without the need for outlets or cumbersome cords.

Their portability allows you to create cozy, well-lit nooks while adding a touch of modern design!

The bestselling Lustre Table Lamp is crafted from on-trend antique brass and works wonderfully in small areas that need a finishing touch.

3. Choose the right bulbs

The type of light and the fitting are important, but choosing your bulbs is a key consideration to make your lighting look it’s best.

For standard bulbs there are varying colour temperatures to choose from, from cool white to warm white.

Cool white is typically brighter and can be blue in tone, and used for task lighting, for example in the kitchen, where tasks such as preparing and cooking food happen.

Warm white is a popular choice for ambient lighting, where creating a cosy atmosphere and an inviting aesthetic is the goal.

As well as colour temperature, if you select a fitting with visible bulbs, such as the clark matt black and copper semi flush ceiling light, a vintage style bulb finishes the light beautifully.

5. Know when to make a statement

When redesigning or decorating a space, lighting is all too often an afterthought.

Lighting is functional, but also has the power to amplify a space when the right fitting is chosen.

High traffic areas of the home are the perfect area of the home to enhance with beautifully chosen lighting.

Pendant lights can transform a space such as a staircase or hallway and make a great solution for overhead ceiling lights, sometimes referred to as task lighting for their functional purpose.

They can also help transform a task light into an ambient light – making your space somewhere to be proud of.

Make a statement with something from Pagazzi’s range of pendant lights – such as the Resto ceiling light, available in both black and antique brass.
