If you thought you’d seen it all when it comes to seaside holiday homes, then think again! This boutique staycation spot is like no other, filled with bold prints, a Barbie-esque colour palette and plenty of caravan decor ideas and quirky touches to make you smile.

Located at Camber Sands in East Sussex, ‘Dixie Daydream’ is a static caravan designed by The Style Producers and kitted out by wayfair.co.uk, with personality aplenty.

From tiger-print wallpaper to a retro tasselled sofa, pink tiled fireplace and vibrant artworks, there’s lots to take in, whichever way you turn – in fact, this caravan is a masterclass in how to be brave and bold, and have fun with your design choices.

Caravan decor ideas

You won’t find any bland beige here – instead, what was a rather drab interior has been completely revamped, with an explosion of colour and Instagrammable interior touches that you wouldn’t expect when contemplating caravan decor ideas.

Take the leopard-print carpet, for example, or the gleaming copper sink and worktop. Then there’s the fun neon signs dotted about, along with painted ceilings, cork pin boards and a plush pink swivel armchair with a luxe gold base.

‘Any space that has leopard-print carpet, lilac walls and pink neon has to be a winner,’ says The Style Producers‘ Cassandra Doyle. ‘It’s a fun space but it also feels homely.’

Those home comforts come in the shape of a box of fluffy slippers to wear, spa-style Cowshed products and everything you need to create a cocktail to enjoy with friends.

Outside, the playful décor is continued, with colourful furniture, a lilac-coloured lion statue and twinkling lights, where you can sit and watch the sun go down over nearby fields.

Sleep in style

Night time is a fun event at Dixie as you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to the three bedrooms, with each having its own individual theme. Choose from the exotic Tibetan Tiger room, dark and dramatic ‘Jump into Bed’ floral scheme complete with mirrored ceiling, or the pink and red bedroom, which boasts a love-heart shaped headboard and lilac locker-style wardrobe.

Small space solutions

Along with the joyful décor, one of the main features to take inspiration from is the clever use of what is otherwise a compact footprint. Every inch of the caravan has been utilised, yet the overall aesthetic still feels spacious, with savvy features such as hidden shelves built into the fireplace wall, multi-purpose furniture and beds with either lift-up storage or drawers for your clothes, bags and knick-knacks.

Coastal caravan charm

If you can tear yourself away from the caravan to explore the area, you’ll find you’re minutes from one of England’s finest beaches at Camber Sands, with three glorious miles of golden sands and dunes. Just a stone’s throw away is The Gallivant, which is worth factoring in for a delicious lunch, yoga or even a mindful workshop.

Nearby historic Rye is also a must-see, with its charming cobbled streets, quirky shops and foodie spots – make sure to grab an ice cream at the Mermaid Street Café!
