9 Easter tablescaping ideas

Easter is fast becoming the second Christmas, with shops offering more and more decorations for the home and the day itself providing another excuse to invite the extended family round for a celebratory feast. Good Homes picks some of the best styling ideas so you can get creative with your Easter tablescapes…

1. Make a hanging decoration

Looking for the wow-factor? With some carefully pruned foliage from your garden, you could create a beautiful floral hanging decoration over your dining table. You could even embellish it with Easter decorations like this idea from Sophie Allport. Decorative hanging eggs, £15 for a set of six.

2. Get creative with napkins

We love this simple styling trick for your Easter table and is bound to impress your guests. Lay your napkin out in a square and fold in from two opposite corners until you have a long, narrow strip. Wrap around an eggshell and tie with an elastic band or string to create these cute bunny ears. Swap out the egg for a chocolate egg for an Easter treat. Try these glorious Tori Murphy Harbour Stripe napkins in rainbow, £95 for a set of six.

3. Style with Easter eggs

Easter eggs are a great way to embellish your table and bring some colour to proceedings with lots of lovely pastel hues. You could also try that old crafty classic of painting eggshells for some DIY decorations for your tablescape too. This Tokyo white marble table from Furniture and Choice, from £499.99 makes the perfect space to lay your seasonal tablescapes on.

4. Re-purpose a wreath

The wreath is one of those traditionally Christmas decorations that has become more common to see at other times of years. Spring and Easter wreaths have been popular for some time, so if you already have one, why not change it up and use as a centrepiece for your table. This one from Lights4fun houses a pillar candle inside, but you could also place a vase of flowers in the centre, or add tiny fairy lights to your wreath and put it on the door. Egg Easter Wreath, £27.99 from Lights4fun.
