What do air purifiers do?
We’ve all seen air purifiers and asked the question what are they actually used for? Well, an air purifier is a device that cleans the air around you by removing contaminants and pollutants and pushing clean air back out through the process of filtration.
You often see the acronym HEPA, which stands for High Efficiency Particulate Air. Air purifiers with HEPA filters are far more efficient and meet the HEPA filter standard, which is to remove at least 99.97% of airborne particles 0.3micrometers in diameter.

Like most products for the home, there is an air purifier to suit most budgets. Starting from as little as £20 and increasing to over £500, it’s best to do your research on what air purifier would best suit you and your needs.
Who are air purifiers good for?
If you suffer from allergies, an air purifier could be a great investment for you. Or, if you have a respiratory condition such as asthma it is likely that you will feel the effectiveness of an air purifier as you will be breathing in cleaner air. These devices are also a good buy for those living in older properties, where dust is more prevalent.
