Hardwood floors are super stylish and durable but once the cooler months roll around, the idea of getting up to cold floors underfoot can be uninviting.

Rather than investing in a whole new duvet and bedding set for autumn, consider layering up your current bed set-up. Throws are an easy way to bring in a new colour and texture to your bedroom as well as keeping you warm and cosy at night. Consider layering different textures together for an interesting contrast such as faux fur and linen.

Embrace autumn by incorporating luxurious heavy fabrics and bejewelled colour schemes. If you’re not brave enough to go bold with your living room look, the bedroom is the ideal space to unleash your creativity as it’s often only seen by you. Autumnal décor doesn’t have to be made up of reds, oranges and yellow – opt for bejewelled tones such as deep purples and teals for a rich and colourful scheme.
