Jo Malone London launches new artist collaboration for spring
Artist Martyn Thompson has collaborated with Jo Malone London on a new, design-led capsule collection for the home.

Spring is the perfect time to switch up your interior schemes and bring some colour to your home, so what better than a colourful designer candle and diffuser collection.
Internationally-acclaimed photographer Martyn Thompson has collaborated with British perfumery Jo Malone London on a new design-led capsule collection for the home, launching this April.
In contrast to the brand’s signature cream and black branding, the collection will come redressed in decorative ceramics, carefully crafted by Emily Johnson, co-founder of renowned British ceramic producers 1882 Ltd in Stoke–on–Trent.

The collection will be available in 4 scents including Malone’s signature Lime, Basil and Mandarin, Peony and Blush Suede, English Pear and Freesia with an ethereal Mimosa & Cardamom completing the collection. However, the brand states that each beautiful heritage piece is designed to live on as a home accessory long after its fragrance has gone.

The exciting new collection is said to be ‘the most beautiful collection and candle we have ever designed’ by the brand’s Head of Global Creative, Wandjina Glasheen-Brown, with Thompson’s ‘photo-paintings’ on each bespoke piece. .
Disccusing the methodology behind his work at London Design Festival installation, Thompson creates his signature look by taking a picture and manipulates the printing process so that the ink remains wet, patiently waiting 4 months for his works to dry. The paintings are then retouched and re-photographed several times, a process which Thompson says is extremely time intensive.

When will the collection be available?
The range will be available in select Jo Malone London Boutiques and online from 1 April.
