Inspired by a handful of the incredible properties owned by the National Trust, Little Greene has launched a beautiful new wallpaper collaboration.

Blue And Pink Floral Bedroom Wallpaper

This new collaboration between Little Greene x National Trust comprises of 7 wallpaper designs in over 40 colourways for a collection representing 200 years of timeless pattern.

Each wallpaper has been recreated from original designs which were discovered in the National Trust's eclectic portfolio of properties across the country, dating from the early 18th to the early 20th century.

Here are a few of our favourites from the collection...

Green Bathroom Wallpaper

Originally just a small border design, a fragment of which is kept at Felbrigg Hall in Norfolk, this pattern has been completely transformed in scale to create a bold mural design. Depicting silhouetted stems and flowerheads of yarrow, the style is distinctly Art Nouveau and the flat colours are typical of a screen-printed design.

Because of the teal blue backdrop of this wallpaper, it goes perfectly in a heritage-style bathroom scheme.

Belton Scenic

Floral Wallpaper Design For Living Room

The original, much-admired version of this wallpaper can be seen in the Chinese bedroom at Belton House in Lincolnshire. Whilst the paper – a garden party scene in a combination of printed and hand-painted elements – dates from 1785, it is known to have been hung over 50 years later, in 1840.

It has a muted colour palette that we think would work well in a relaxed living space, with the accent colours of the wallpaper picked out in soft furnishings and accessories.

Blue And Pink Floral Bedroom Wallpaper

This flamboyant, vibrant peacock design is a beautiful example of late-19th century wallpaper printing. Found on a lobby wall at Erddig in Wales, it was hung in the 1870s, and has the painterly finish of a traditional Chinese silk.

It's the perfect option for creating a statement feature wall in an eclectic bedroom. Or, if you're head over heels for this design like we are, hang it up in your hallway to let it set the tone of your entire home.

Little Greene also have a paint range inspired by historic colours found in National Trust properties. The whole wallpaper will be available to buy in late January.
