Thinking pink for your bathroom makeover? Here's some of our favourite design ideas for including this super trend in your renovation.

Colour trends may come and go, but blush pink has claimed its place as a true modern classic in interior design. From sweet, flowery schemes to contemporary and cool designs, blush pink has transcended the idea that its an ultra-feminine colour for the home, and has been embraced by all kinds of home decorators.

For the bathroom, blush pink is also a perfect choice. It's a move away from the sterile, white rooms that bathrooms of the past have been guilty of, while it's also a light, fresh and soothing shade that ensures your bathroom is still the relaxing hideaway you need it to be.

If you are thinking pink for a makeover, there's a lot of ways to incorporate it into your space. We've picked some of our favourite room schemes and different ideas for ways that you can bring beautiful blush to your bathroom.

1. Tiles

We think pink is a trend that's going nowhere anytime soon, so you can be confident in committing to an exciting blush pink tile in your bathroom scheme. There are plenty of plain and patterned tiles to choose from out there in pink, whether you're spending savvy or splurging. For a unique twist on a pink scheme, why not try these Valentina honed marble tiles from Mandarin Stone to bring a natural element to your design?

2. Wall paint

Painting the walls is an easy way to bring colour and life to your scheme, and one that you can easily change back if you decide you want to! A next step from the blush pink trend, a darker, more dusty rose colour, such as this Texas Rose colour from Benjamin Moore's Aura paint range gives an even more striking contrast to white sanitaryware.

3. Flooring

Opting for a colourful floor, while keeping the rest of the scheme neutral, will create a striking and surprising design feature that's sure to garner a lot of admiration from visiting guests. Proving that pink doesn't have to be frilly, this industrial concrete scheme has been softened with True Colour vinyl from Carpetright in Blush.

4. Wallpaper

Sanderson Glasshouse Wallpaper Bathroom

You might not think that wallpaper is well suited for use in a bathroom, but placed correctly, it can add all-important character to your scheme. Only use in well-ventilated spaces where moisture and condensation isn't a huge concern for you, and use away from areas which see a lot of running water. A space like the above keeps wallpaper away from bathtime splashes by placing it above wall panelling. Pink doesn't have to be the most dominant colour in your scheme, but used in this Sanderson Glasshouse wallpaper teamed with classic bathroom duck egg blue, it warms the room.

5. Upcycle

The bold, colourful vanity above has been painted in Graham & Brown's Popsicle

6. Basin
