Dig out your cloak and dagger and get ready to perfect your pumpkin carving skills because it's the most spooktactular time of the year! Whether you're seeing in Halloween with a scary movie marathon or a costume party, no celebration is complete without a tasty batch of homemade popcorn.
Follow these three easy steps to make the perfect stovetop popcorn at home - just try not think about that classic scene from Scream when making it...
- 1 tbsp sunflower oil
- 50g popping corn kernels
- Your choice of icing sugar, salt, honey or butter
- Quarter-ﬁll a large heavy-based pan with a tight-ﬁtting lid with1tbsp sunﬂower oil and up to 50g of popping corn kernels.
- Cook with the lid on over an open ﬁre until the kernels start to ‘pop’ and burst out of their skins.
- Once the popping slows down, pour into a large bowl. Sprinkle with icing sugar, salt, drizzled honey or butter – you choose!
