Basil & Ford

Basil & Ford are an arty couple who joked about starting a screen-printing business after hand-making their own wedding stationery. Lucy and Matt met at university, becoming an item within 2 months and as they say, the rest is history.

From selling up and moving out of London, investing savings into hefty screen printing machinery and teaching themselves how to use it, this couple turned their passion into their business - creating completely bespoke map prints detailing individual love stories.

"We create a complete one off. Like a finger print it’s unique. No two are the same. The maps we use are vintage and original. They show their age through the tanning of the paper and often show the creases of the folds. Like the love story they portray, they’re unique in every way", the couple explain.

The business' name comes was inspired by the couple's own love story - Matt was born in Basildon and Lucy was born in Stamford - hence Basil & Ford was chosen! Lucy and Matt's top pick for Valentine's Day is their personalised Bespoke Map Wedding Art, £100. This unique print is the perfect present for Valentine's Day or an anniversary as the maps show the location of where you and your loved one first met, where your proposal occured and where you tied the knot.
