Need some Christmas dining room inspo? Check out Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews' glamorous festive makeover.
Vogue Williams tells all about her and partner Spencer Matthews' Christmas dining room makeover in collaboration with Wayfair. They have created the perfect space for dining and entertaining for all of their friends and family this Christmas.
What was the inspiration behind your festive home makeover with Wayfair? What do you love most about look and do you have any favourite pieces?
I’m so in love with the tabletop set-up! When it comes to seasonal decor I tend to shy away from anything too classic or traditional, so the contemporary blue, mint & gold tones suit my style perfectly.
I’m all about doing Christmas differently this year, adding in beautiful glassware which I can enjoy all year round, swapping in quirky metallic cutlery and mixing fresh flowers & foliage with long-lasting faux decorations.
It’s a truly unique look which has been made so easy to achieve with Wayfair, they have such a wide selection of products for the home I knew I would be able to bring my vision to life.
How would you describe your interior style? Where do you find inspiration?
Instagram is a huge inspiration for me. I have such a busy lifestyle as a working mum that I find that social media helps me to keep up with new interiors looks and trends whilst on the go.
Luckily Spencer and I have very similar tastes when it comes to decorating and interior style so we rarely disagree. We are fans of pattern and lots of colour which helps to bring warmth and life into the space. I would describe our style as quite eclectic as we love to incorporate items that hold happy memories, family photos and furniture that has a special place in our hearts.
Are you expecting guests this Christmas period? Do you have any top tips for prepping your home?
The majority of my family are based in Ireland so we have a constant flow of loved ones coming over to visit all the time – no doubt we will all be together at some point over the Christmas period.
I love hosting friends and family and staying home is what we do best, so I have to make sure our place is prepped and perfect. One item I know will get everyone in the festive mood is our new bar cart. It’s a real statement piece and so unique. It will be well stocked with classic tipples as well as virgin drinks so we can all enjoy it together.
How has your interior style changed since becoming a mum?
I would say the biggest change is accepting that babies are not always furniture friendly... I have always wanted a pristine white couch which just isn’t practical now, let’s face it! I think I will have to wait until I'm in my 60s for that unfortunately, but it’s 100% worth the sacrifice.
Tell us more about how you both will be celebrating Christmas with Theodore.. Do you have any special family Christmas traditions you want him to experience?
As Theodore gets older we will try and build our own Christmas traditions as a family, as each year goes on. We always have a cosy night in on Christmas Eve, prepping for the big day and watching festive films.
Right now our focus is to spend as much time together, relaxing and creating memories. On Boxing Day we will chill-out with delicious leftover sandwiches, which is one of my favourite traditions that we will definitely be sticking to.
