Double your chances of winning a luxury country pad within easy reach of London

Those buying tickets for Raffle House’s stunning £2.8m Cotswolds property will now receive a matching number of free entries for its forthcoming £3m property giveaway, located just outside Chichester.

The draw for the West Sussex home will officially launch on July 1, but anyone buying tickets for the Cotswold property will automatically be entered before it opens for free. This means each ticket purchased between now and July 1 gives players the chance to win almost £6m worth of property.

The soon-to-launch detached home sits on 1.34 acres in a hamlet just outside Chichester, with beautifully manicured gardens that boast glorious views over the surrounding countryside.

Set over three floors and with a total size of more than 4,500 sq ft, the stunning residence offers six bedrooms and five bathrooms, as well as an abundance of tastefully decorated living areas.

These include an enormous glass-roofed orangery housing the kitchen, a dining space and comfy seating areas that open out into the lawn.

Locations for all lifestyles

The location should offer the lucky winner the best of both worlds: country living and easy access to London, thanks to train connections that can whisk one to the capital in just 90 minutes.

This is something the grand property has in common with Raffle House’s current Dream Home, set in the Cotswold market town of Stow-on-the-Wold.

On a good day, locals of this highly desirable area can also be in the capital in around an hour-and-a-half, so it’s perfect for those looking for a more relaxed pace of life but who still need to be within easy reach of the bright lights.

It’s no surprise then that the Cotswolds area has long attracted the rich and famous, with its quintessential country vibe tempting celebs such as the Beckhams, Kate Winslet and Simon Cowell to buy property in the area.

And, if the winner of Raffle House’s classic Cotswold stone cottage happens to befriend a local personality, they will have a property fit to entertain them in.

A perfect blend of old and new

Though it dates back to the early 1900s, the beautifully designed home has been extensively remodelled by architects so that it works for modern living and puts every available inch of its impressive 4,000 sq ft size to best use.

The downstairs living area is perfectly laid out for socialising, with an inviting kitchen serving as the heart of the home. As well as the usual mod cons one would expect in a property of this standard, it also features a unique bar area – the perfect backdrop for enjoying a tipple on the island’s bar stools.

There’s even a cute bespoke dog bed integrated into the kitchen, so you can keep an eye on the pooches while catching up.

Once pre-dinner drinks are over, it’s just a short hop to the attached dining room, which features enough space to very comfortably host 10-person dinner parties.

At the other end of the kitchen, there’s an entrance into the cosy family room extension, an inviting space that features bi-fold doors opening onto a stone terrace.

There’s also a cosy sitting room, a study, a boot room (for the wellies, obviously) and a laundry on the ground floor, as well as a handy cellar underground.

Moving upstairs (via the original staircase), there are six spacious bedrooms, all with individually styled en suites.

While the house features custom cabinetry and panelling throughout, it’s in the bedrooms this really comes into its own. Each room has a distinct personality and colour scheme, with bespoke built-in cupboards that have unique detailing and ironmongery – the star-shaped handles on one set of wardrobe doors are just one example of the many flourishes that have been incorporated into the home’s design.

Lofty heights for little ones

But the highlight of the sleeping quarters has to be the loft perched at the top of the home. This has been cleverly designed to make use of the eaves by building four single beds into them, with Velux windows inserted to light up the space. With a bright yellow colour scheme running through the area, this nook-and-cranny-style room is sure to be the children’s favourite place in the house – there are even some beams to climb through between the beds.

Outdoors, the property has been designed with all weather in mind, with unshaded seating for summer days and a rustic-style wooden garden room containing a dining area that works whether it’s sunny or rainy. There’s also a charming pergola, a small, manicured lawn and enough space for four cars in the front driveway.

The luxury home comes fully kitted out with stylish furniture that perfectly complements its warm, earthy feel – stone floors, exposed brick and a butcher block in the kitchen are just a few of the design highlights.

There’s a subtle yet consistent green theme running throughout the decor, mixed up with splashes of bold colours such as the pink wardrobes that run along an entire wall of one of the bedrooms and the yellow vanity found in one of the bathrooms.

As well as throwing in all the furniture, Raffle House also covers stamp duty costs and fees, so the lucky winner will be able to move in without spending a penny.

And, if it turns out the winner isn’t keen on a move to the Cotswolds, they will also have the option to take the cash equivalent of the home’s value, meaning there’s no need to sell the home if they’d prefer to live elsewhere.

Paid entries to the draw can be purchased from £10, which gives players 15 chances to win, and there’s also the option to enter for free via post. Entries close on June 30, and the winner will be drawn on July 7. Those entering will get the same number of tickets they purchase for the Cotswolds draw entered into the upcoming West Sussex home.
