Bedrooms can be a tricky room to transform and sometimes requires a little more inspiration. Here are the top 2020 trends we've spotted.
Is your bedroom in need of a restyle for 2020? Bedrooms can often become dumping grounds for clothes and other bits and bobs that we don't want crowding our living spaces, therefore can sometimes be hard to style with a clear vision in mind. Here are some top trends that we've spotted so far...
Metallic bed frames
Upholstered bed frames have been dominating the world of bedrooms recently, but step aside bulky headboards, it's time to say hello to sleek metallic designs. Brass, copper and chrome are all on-trend options for a geometric metal bed frame.
Using plants in the home is nothing new, but creating a biophillic bedroom – a space that brings you closer to nature – is a great idea for aiding your sleep and helping you to feel more relaxed. Using hanging plant pots from your ceiling is a stylish way of implementing this design into your bedroom.
The colour red has been off the interiorsradar for quite some time, however, for 2020 it's back with a bang! Red is a natural colour to use in a bedroom as it provokes romance. Take it in a modern direction by pairing it with pink accents and choosing luxe fabrics like velvet.

We're seeing panelled bedrooms everywhere right now, but you don't have to be fortunate enough to inherit a period property that already has panelled walls – you can DIY it with sheets of MDF and strong wood glue. There are also a lot of tutorials online for you to give it a go yourself.
Mindfulness is a growing trend for the entire home, but nowhere does it make more sense than in the bedroom. Creating a calming design that is fuss-free and that will naturally clear your mind is key for a mindful bedroom. Make sure there's ways of letting in lots of light and choose tactile fabrics that remind you of the outside world.
